摘要

Demand on high strength materials increases as modern buildings and infrastructures become bigger and taller. A variety of attempts have been made to improve the strength of structural materials. In the present study, carbon nanotube (CNT) that have been considered as a promising material owing to its outstanding physical properties were incorporated in cement matrix materials in an effort to improve the compressive strength of the composite materials. The compressive strength of the composite materials was measured using the universal test machine and the results showed a increase in the compressive strength when CNT was mixed in the cement matrix material.
