An active RFID-based system to improve response time in hospital emergency rooms

摘要

Hospital emergency rooms (ERs) have a big problem of identifying and locating the patients and gurneys and chairs which causes patients waiting much time in ER before being treated. This paper compares some identification and location technologies, presents an active RFID-based indoor location system, analyzes its construction and signal coverage and read range. The system is proved efficiently to improve response time in the hospital ER.
