摘要

In this paper frost heave is simulated numerically by the coupled processes of heat conduction and moisture transport within frozen soil mass. A finite difference computational program developed by the first author is used to simulate frost heave of one-dimensional frozen soil under three different freezing modes including continuous, stepwise and continuous-intermissive mode. The results of simulation show that continuous-intermissive mode can suppress the magnitude of frost heave effectively.
