Digital Jacquard Fabric Design with Visual Illusion Effect Based on Half-backed Structure

Visual illusion is a new computer abstract art style in information age. Depending on digital design technology, applying digital image with visual illusion, digital jacquard fabric featuring visual illusion effect is produced based on the application of half-backed woven structure. Key technology is that using digital layered-combination design mode and backed structure design method, the structure of jacquard fabric can be designed to express entire color changes of yarn. If random covering effect among weft yarns were realized in compound fabric structure, delicate and random color transition can be produced on face of fabric. In this paper, the design principle and method of visual illusion effect digital jacquard fabric were introduced and analyzed with proper design illustrations and objective results. It is envisaged that this study has good reference to design innovation of digital jacquard fabric. Computer art, known as digital art, including computer graphics, 3D animation, game scenes, graphic design, web design and virtual reality, computer music and so on, is an emerging art form in information age[1]. Because of the restriction of the structure and color expression, traditional jacquard fabric cannot express the delicate and mutative effect of the computer visual illusion patterns. Based on the application of digital design techniques, it applies the methods of layered-combination design mode and backed structure, which possess the ability of perform computer visual illusion patterns and gives jacquard fabric a new digital style.
