The nutritional status of the vegetation were typically evaluated through field sampling and laboratory analysis, but might also be assessed by remote sensing technology, especially on a regional level. Abnormal nutritional status of vegetation could induce changes in biochemical composition, and physiology of plants, which subsequently influenced vegetation spectra. In this paper, changes in spectral reflectance of plants in response to specific nutrient such as nitrogen, phosphorus and iron supply were discussed.
