摘要

The recent earthquakes have shown the high vulnerability of industrial buildings due to their high exposure. Therefore, this structural typology must be protected in a careful way from seismic events through proper retrofitting interventions. In the paper the application of steel bracings as retrofitting system of an industrial building case study, located in Italy and subjected to the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquake, has been done. The analysis results have shown how the inserted bracings are able to improve the structural behaviour under ultimate and serviceability limit conditions.
