Information model of football and its application to forecast the results of the 2018 world championship

The aim of the research is to create a variant of information model for football game. The proposed algorithm uses the rating system. The rating is linearly linked to the balance of goals scored and conceded. The study shows that the data of just one round is enough to reach the maximum possible level of the result of the team. The information array connected with football is too large to be controlled by one coach. It means that in the near future the team management during the game will be carried out using information systems similar to the proposed one. Using the developed model, the opportunity for the Russian team to play in the 1/4 final of the 2018 World Cup is demonstrated.
