摘要

Introduction: Corn have characteristics of high yield, high nutritional value, good palatability, high digestibility and other advantages(XU Min-yun et al., 2009), but due to low crude protein content, it can not meet the needs of modern animal husbandry for high protein feed. Alfalfa is one of the best high protein feed, but because of its low soluble carbohydrate content, high buffering capacity, little lactic acid bacteria, excellent alfalfa silage was difficult to obtain(YU Hai-liang et al.,1994). This study aims at find out the reasonable mixing ratio of corn and alfalfa and provide theoretical basis and technology for local forage storage by investigating nutritional components and fermentation quality of mixed silage of alfalfa and corn in different proportions.
