Ultrasound: In veterinary medicine, ultrasonography (US) has been the imaging modality of choice for evaluation of adrenal masses. This is likely due to its high availability and lower cost as compared to other cross-sectional imaging modalities suchas computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).15. Although the visualization of vascular invasion is suggestive of malignancy, ultrasonographic features including morphologic characteristics, echogenicity and presence of mineralization cannot always accurately differentiate between benign and malignant adrenal lesions.3 In general, however, adrenal masses that are larger than 4 cm, exhibit evidence of vascular invasion, and have foci of mineralization are more likely to be malignant.3
