Treating septic synovial structures in the equine patients can be quite challenging, frustrating and costly at time. Unfortunately, injuries of the lower limbs including synovial structures are relatively common in the horse. Early recognition and treatment of wounds involving synovial structures can improve outcome and decrease secondary complications of synovial sepsis.
