Nationwide network of teleaudiology in postoperative care over implanted patients

"Nationwide network of auditory telerehabilitation centers" was introduced into clinical practice in 2009. It consist of 19 policlinics cooperating with Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing, using state-of-the-art telemedical equipment and methodology, including telefitting. The model of extensive use of teleconsultations performed by experienced specialists from implantation centre to patient in cooperating policlinic proved to be reliable alternative to standard models of postoperative care, additionally providing substantial savings in time, cost and effort for the patient.
