The superior dispersing force of superplasticizer that brings wonderful concrete have been well known and also the incompatibility between cement and admixtures has taken our attention paper presents the observations of a study on hydration behavior of cement pastes with polycarboxylate-type superplasticizer (KH) sulfate. The fluidity, setting time and strength for 3 days hydration were tested, hydrated cement for 3 days was observed by Diffractometer and Scanning Electron result shows that the superplasticizer has effect on dispersing cement particles and pastes high fluidity. With the addition of sulfate increased, the fluidity degrade, time reduced and the compressive strength raised. The observation of microstructure lot of needle ettringite crystal was mixing with the sulfate ion.
