An introduction is made of a new method, which use computer to get an accurate unfolding drawing, to calculate the cutting stock of chemical container's connecting pipe. Practice proved that this method is not only fast and convenient, but also accurate and reliable. In the manufacturing process of chemical equipment, the cutting stock of connecting pipe on equipment shell often depends on conventional method of drawing that is on the basis of projection principle in descriptive geometry, which uses projection to diagram it by drawing the front view and top view and dividing them from the middle by using an assistant surface. This method is complicated in the process of making the unfolding drawmg and easy to produce the inaccuracy while lofting, moreover, greater the size, the error is larger;;at the same time it is restricted by tool, place and so on ,which brings some difficulties in pattern making. In order to avoiding such drawbacks, we use a new method to calculating and drawing by using computers, which can help us to get an accurate unfolding drawing. Practice proved that this method is fast and convenient, and the Interface quality is accurate and reliable.
