The synergetic effect of Multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), and carbon fiber (CF) on the static and dynamic mechanical, and thermal properties of MWCNT/ epoxy (EP), and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites were studied. Scanning electron microscopy microphotographs of the composites were investigated. The flexural strengths of MWCNT/EP, and MWCNT/CFRP/EP were increased with the increasing of MWCNT content in the epoxy resins. The flexural strength of MWCNT/CFRP/EP was increased from 773.2 MPa (CFRP/EP) to 850.1 Mpa (increased 9.9%) by adding 0.5 phr MWCNT. The fatigue cycles of MWCNT/CFRP/EP were increased significantly from 394 cycles (CFRP/EP) to 1501 cycles (increased 280.9% ) with the addition of 2.0phr MWCNT. The coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of MWCNT/CFRP/EP was decreased significantly with the addition of 2.0phr MWCNT.
