Electricity has the potential to become the main energy carrier of the future. Lithium-ion batteries have a high energy density compared to other rechargeable battery chemistries and are therefore a suitable choice for mobile electricity driven applications. Consequently, they may gain additional importance if, for instance, the vehicle fleet becomes increasingly electrified.
