Biotesting of nanoparticles

Biotesting of Nanoparticles represents a critical issue when considering the risks/benefits ratio for biomedical applications. Biotesting was performed on cells of the endothelial wall, of the air-blood barrier and of the blood brain barrier. We considered a gross as well as a fine level of perturbation of cell function after exposure to increasing concentrations of nanoparticles. We also studied and modelled the uptake and intracellular distribution of nanoparticles to elucidate the mechanisms oftheir translocation
