The Standards governing the production of glued timber products, AS/NZS1328:1998, AS/NZS 1491:1996, AS5068:2006 and AS/NZS4354 (2010 or 2011), are compared and commented on in regards to possible improvements. There are significant changes needed in AS/NZS 1328 but these concern designers more than manufacturers. AS/NZS1491 should be withdrawn and replaced with AS5068.
