In view of the country needs to improve earthquake disaster prevention ability of the city, this essay provided the design plan of Langfang Earthquake Disaster Prediction System (EDPS) Based on GIS. Using the GIS technology, data conversion technology and software development technology, the system established the earthquake damage prediction of spatial database and unified file data conversion interface and coordinate system, the system achieved the Langfang map visualization management and earthquake damage prediction of thematic map management system. The realization of the system provides effective technical support and improves the Langfang earthquake disaster prevention capacity.
