Gesture Browser: Realization of customizable gesture interfaces in mobile device

In this paper we introduce the Gesture Browser, a novel approach to enabling mobile users to adjust the gesture interfaces of mobile device into the suitable for them. In these years, mobile devices such as PDA and cellular phones become powerful and multifunctional. Therefore, many people are using such devices at a wide variety of situations. On the other hand, mobile devices also have several gesture interfaces for each function. However mobile devices don't allow people to adjust the gesture interfaces. Although the interfaces are fixed by developers, it doesn't always match every user and situation. It is difficult for developers to predict any situations from the beginning. Therefore, it is required for users to adjust the gesture interfaces as they like. This paper provides a system called Gesture Browser that can adjust the gesture interfaces of each functions by end user.
