摘要

Use of supersonic oxygen jets and plasma jets in BOF and EAF furnaces requires the knowledge of aero-dynamics and aero-acoustics properties of jets which are flowing into the unit. The aero-acoustic research of the jets which are flowing into the submerged space made possible to determine the influence of effect of the acoustic feedback on dynamic and acoustic characteristics of the jet. With using of the effect of the acoustic feedback it is possible to put the jet in the resonant self-excitation mode and make more turbulent flowing of the jet with the constant rate of the gas. The amplitude and frequency of the jet which is flowing in the melt are influencing on physical and chemical processes which are occurring into the melt. The acoustics of the process of interaction of the jet and the melt is a source of information about the physical and chemical transformation into the melt.
