Panel - Embedding Nuclear Security Concepts in the Nuclear Engineering Curriculum

The panel will focus on the addressing the human resource development component of the Department of Energy's Next Generation Safeguards Initiative (NGSI). Five universities in the east partnered with Oak Ridge National Laboratory to incorporate nuclear security concepts (nuclear nonproliferation and safeguards) into existing nuclear engineering courses. University professors on the panel will discuss how they accomplish the goal and address future plans.
