Fuel Cell Back Up Power - Deployment of Next Generation Platform

Starting in 2004 Hydrogenics and APC jointly developed a modular 19" fuel cell rack based on HyPM~(TM) fuel cell power modules (FCPM's), for the Data Center Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) application. The resulting system is 30 kW per rack and up to four racks per UPS. Field testing began in 2005 in diverse data centers and locations in the US, Canada and Europe. The final product was designed and certified by UL in 2009.
