摘要

The development of a particulate photocatalyst to produce hydrogen from water to store solar energy has attracted increased interest recently. In order to utilize efficiently solar energy for industrial application, one desirable photocatalyst was suggested to exhibit an absorption edge up to 600 nm. Oxysulfide Sm2Ti2S2O5 with Ruddlesden-Popper-type layered structure is one of the type of materials, which was known stable for H2 and O2 evolution without the decomposition of the structure in our previous work, but the photocatalytic activity remains still low [1].
