The multitone signals make traditional analysis difficult even impossible if the circuits are highly nonlinear. Using multiple time variables allow an efficient representation of these signals. In this formulation the components with different rates of variation are decoupled, each disparate signal being represented by its own artificial time scale. The differential algebraic equations describing the dynamic behavior of these circuits are transformed into multi-time partial differential equations (MPDEs). In order to solve MPDEs, discrete resistive models (companion models) associated to a selected numeric integration algorithm are used to model the dynamic circuit elements. In this paper companion models in 2D are built in order to implement them in a very efficient simulator for steady-state simulation of the nonlinear circuits.
