摘要

In races it's essential to adjust the geometry of the motorcycle, according to the different tracks, to the weather conditions and to the needs of the driver. Despite the electronics takes an increasingly important role in terms of performance, a non-optimal tuning of the mechanical aspects would nullify the contribution provided by new technologies. Usually the setup is done empirically, relying on historical data and experts' ability. This paper relates to the study of the geometric and inertial characteristics of racing motorcycles, with the creation of a virtual model for their kinematic and dynamic diagnosis, with the aim to build an interface software, capable of synthesizing the interaction between the parameters, to make easier the task of race engineer.
