Park in Sulistrowiczki - its Meaning in the Cultural Landscape of Poland

Historical compositions of greenery form a significant element of cultural landscape in all latitudes. Their role is of vital importance both in the open landscape and in the urbanized landscape. The park in Sulistrowiczki, situated in the Sle.za Landscape Park, provides an example not only of a complex of organized greenery having undeniable natural and landscape virtues and standing as testimony of this place's rich history, but most of all, it represents majority of issues connected with preservation and restoration of historical complexes of composed greenery in Poland, hi spite of the fact that the park may be distinguished by its interesting composition both spatial and in selection of plants, its present condition is not very good. Lack of any conservation work throughout many years is the underlying reason for this situation. Due to the fact that each and every complex of park greenery forms an important group of material cultural heritage of the region, country and eventually the continent - the park in Sulistrowiczki should be subjected to renovation work as soon as possible.
