The object of research was to evaluate the microclimate parameters by determining the correlation between the incidence of potentially mycotoxigenic fungi strains in forages given to dairy cows, and the temperature, relative humidity and rainfall in the months and areas of investigation. Determinations of microclimate parameters have also been conducted, concomitantly, in a veterinary hospital from Bucharest, Romania. The results have shown a high incidence of Fusarium fungi in the 60 feed samples collected in March, June and November; the fungi were identified in 82.3% of the feed samples collected from Giurgiu County and 68.7% in the forage samples collected from Teleorman County, the rates of incidence correlating with the values of the average temperature in the counties and period of investigation. Equally, feed contamination with fungi exceeded the allowed maximal limits in the animal house, the straw being used as litter in animal stalls.
