Along with the technical advancement, the past decade has witnessed a most robust growth and enhanced competitiveness of China's lead and zinc industry, which was particularly highlighted by the continuous capacity expansion, rapid consumption increase, gradually rising import and declining export. Meanwhile, the development of domestic futures market is well positioned to make China the most active lead and zinc market worldwide. With a continuously mounting pressure of environment protection and cost inflation, the structural conflict confronted by China's lead and zinc industry is becoming increasingly evident amid its rapid growth. Therefore, the focus for the development of China's lead and zinc industry will be placed upon structural adjustment in the future.
