World air transport market is a complex and heterogeneous market which functions as an interconnected and included system of activities in a network, present throughout the world who are currently in the process of technical, functional and organizational restructuring. The globalization of air transport occurred based on the support alliance strategy, airlines being faced with the effects of protectionist regulations and a decrease in air traffic, due to political shocks and the economic recession during the recent years, manifested in most countries under the impact of the current international financial crisis. Based on this reality, our work highlights the types of strategic alliances with application in the air transport services industry and virtues of these alliances which, as M. Staniland says when he quotes the president of KLM Co., prouve to be " an effective and efficient response to an obsolete system of regulations and an indirect access modality to restricted markets, also ". [1988, pp.71-77]
