A New Method in Fractal Image Compression Employing Quadtree-no-Search Method with Variable Search Window

摘要

Compression and decompression technology of digital image has become an important aspect in the storing and transferring of digital image in information society, this paper try to present a new technique which improves fractal image compression through the use of no-search scheme and quadtree method with variable search window to improve the compression ratio .encoding speed and reduce the storage space while the quality of Retrieved image is relatively good. Experimental results showed that using proposed algorithm has a better performance in compression ratio than using other algorithms such as full search and spatial correlation .
