H1 was immobilized by modified and natural BC to treat nitrogenous wastewater. The result showed that Hl which was immobilized by natural BC treated nitraterich and ammonium-rich wastewater, the efficiencies of TN removal were 50.98% and 60.2%, respectively. While H1 was immobilized by modified BC had higher removal effects than natural BC, were up to 74.3% and 75.75%. Because the organic matter which was added to BC in the process of modification, the removal of CODcr was slightly lower than the natural membrane. It was found that modification can improve toughness of BC, overcame the shortcoming of easy degradation, and which was convenient to recycle H1.
