The paper deals with an integrated leachate treatment through recirculation column and Upflow Anaerobic sludge Blanket Reactor. Leachate produced at the Okhla landfill in Delhi, India, was treated on site through a simulated landfill recirculation column. Reactor in line. One pass leachate from the recirculation column was combined with raw municipal sewage. One pass leachate was analyzed and found to have high in pH, COD and heavy metals as compared to raw leachate. COD removal was 74 — 85%. The integrated treatment offers feasibility to treat the leachate in combination with municipal sewage.
