The research on the mechanism of microwave deresination and the force conditions of fluid existing in resin cavity was conducted, a mathematical model to predict the critical conditions of microwave deresination was established and verified by experiments in this paper. The results showed that: The pressure difference between the pressure of gas-phase in resin cavity and atmosphere pressure on wood surface should not less than the 4 times of the ratio of free water surface tension coefficient to the radius of resin cavity in order to drive the resin existing resin cavity followed with the movement of free water from wood inside to outside; During the microwave deresination of masson pine, the theoretical minimum critical pressure and corresponding minimum critical temperature are 1.17×105Pa and 104 °C, respectively; There are much resin overfluided from resin cavity on wood surface when the temperature of masson pine species was controlled in the range of 104–110 #x00B0;C during the microwave deresination. The predicted critical temperature of microwave deresination match well with the experimental data.
