(PS11056) Round dot patterned stainless steel plate for easy to clean

Stainless steels have been widely used for food processing industries, especially for floors of factories because of their good corrosion resistance to water and food, and the purpose for sanitation. Checker patterned stainless steel floor plates are normally used for flooring because of their high slip resistance whereas there are some problems which are complained from the users. One of them is cleanability. As a ridge of checker pattern is at right angles with another ridge of them, the dust is likely to be caught on the ridge. Another problem is that when walking on the checker patterned plates, the shock which workers feel through the shoes is relatively high. Therefore they tend to be tired in comparison with flat plates. In order to improve the cleanability and reduce shock when walking, round dot patterned stainless steel floor plate was developed. The round dot patterns have 6.3 mm in diameter at the top and 8.0 mm in diameter at the bottom and about 0.5 - 1.2 mm in height. As they are manufactured directly by hot rolling, the durability is much higher than cold rolled patterned plates. Regarding the cleanability, a cleaning test was conducted in comparison with checker patterned plate. A broom was used to sweep the plates with stains in one direction and it was confirmed that the rest of the stain on the round dot patterned plate is less than that of the checker patterned plate. We also carried out slip resistance test in accordance with DIN 51130, in which the slipping angle is measured when a person stands on the plate. It is confirmed by this test that the anti-slip performance of the round dot patterned plate is higher than that of checker patterned plate.
