Research about Construction Technique of Long-Span Arch Grid Structure

Grid structure is a type of space structure consisted of steel components and joints. Because of itself characteristics of high rigidity, good integrity, strong seismic performance, light self weight as well as economic steel consumption, it is widely used in different span and shaped buildings. There are lots of researches and rich experience about grid frame composed by square pyramid or triangular pyramid unit on its construction method. Because of its explicit force transmission route, good loading capacity and stability, grid frame structure is often selected by architects and structure engineers. Therefore, it is of necessary and significant to study the construction techniques of long-span steel grid structure. In the view of the development of space structure, the characteristic and research status of grid frame structure are introduced briefly. The construction methods, techniques and keys are discussed, including High altitude scattered-install method %strip and piece hoisting method、high altitude sliding method、the whole hoisting method., the whole exalting and ascending method and so on, all of which are applied successfully in most projects. Based on the construction method of Yanliang cultural centre, the installation method for long-span steel grid structure is studied. The possibility of each method is compared and technological difficulty of this project is analyzed. Considering the character of this building, construction techniques of "assemble one span in ground, integral multi-span, set unit integral by sliding" and construction principle of "from middle to side" are put forward. At last, a feasible construction scheme was proposed referenced above techniques and principle, which has good practical value showed by the analysis.
