Stratified Random Sampling on the Randomized Response Technique (RRT) for Multiple-Choice Sensitive Question Survey

Objective to explore scientific sampling methods and corresponding formulas for multiple-choice sensitive question survey. Methods the RRT of multiple-choice sensitive question and stratified random sampling were used in this paper. Moreover, sampling theories, total probability formulas and properties of variance were used. Results Formulas for the estimator of the population proportion and its variance on the RRT of multiple-choice sensitive question in stratified random sampling were deduced. These methods and formulas on the RRT have had a successful application for the survey on the classes of college students’ cheating in exams in the Soochow University. The severity of cheating in exams was classified into three classes (never, 1-2 times ,>2 times) and the proportion was 68.55%, 19.95% and 11.50%, respectively. Conclusion the methods and corresponding formulas of stratified random sampling on the RRT for multiple-choice sensitive question survey were feasible.
