1. In these regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act, shall have the meaning so assigned and, unless the context indicates otherwise- "National Qualifications Framework" means a flexible and integrated education and training system, which promotes a process of life-long learning through planned career paths; "qualification" means the formal recognition of the achievement of the required number and range of credits and such other requirements at specific levels of the National Qualifications Framework as may be determined by the relevant bodies registered for such purpose by the South African Qualifications Authority; "Unit Standard Credits" means the value/weight assigned by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) to ten (10) notional hours of practical and theoretical learning.
