In order to study the impact of various cables expansion coefficients on the reliability of the prestressed steel structure, a finite element model of the beam string structure and a limit state equation controlled by applicability have been established. The Monte Carlo method based on Latin hypercube sample is adopted and APDL language is applied to write a corresponding program, thereby carrying out reliability calculation and analysis to the model; the system reliability and parameters sensitivity of the beam string structure under different cable expansion coefficients and temperature conditions are provided. The results indicate that the change of cable expansion coefficient has a great impact on the reliability of the structure; therefore, it is necessary to give precise linear expansion coefficient for different cables.
