Spread spectrum Audio watermarking techniques implemented in DWT-DCT and DWT domain are reviewed in this paper and their performance evaluation is carried for Indian musical signals like mp3 song, Tabala, clip of Bhimsen Joshi, harmonium. The first method is based on SNR (signal to noise ratio) and is implemented in wavelet-DCT domain. The technique is developed for blind detection of the watermark. The second method is developed by modifying the group of samples (GOS) in DCT domain. The imperceptibility of the watermarking procedure is evaluated by computing the signal to noise ratio (SNR) between the original audio signal and the watermarked audio signal. For evaluation of the robustness of the techniques the watermarked signals are passed through different signal processing attacks and are observed that the watermark remains present after various signal processing attacks. To find the similarity between the recovered watermark and original watermark BER is computed.
