Any market benefits from the participation of numerous and diversified stakeholders. The carbon market is no exception. In order for it to thrive, not only do we need dedicated, focused and stringent regulations, but also the participation of as many actors as possible, from various economic sectors and geographic origins. The creation of a Canada-U.S. carbon market would be a prime way to achieve this goal.
