Porous carbon materials have a wide range of applications [1-8]. Control of porosity, surface area and pore size distribution is a key feature that makes these carbons useful for most of these applications [9], In addition to the internal features of the carbon such as porosity, control of the external properties, size and shape of the primary carbon particles, can be used to increase mass transport of gases or liquids inside the pores and enhance carbon performance in catalysis and many other applications.
