Carbon fibers have been recognized as extremely interesting materials with very promising applications in modern technology. They have high strength and flexibility as well as low density and extraordinary elastic modulus. Carbon fibers offer many advantages and are mainly used as reinforcements in composite materials. However, the radiation-polymerized composites reinforced by carbon fibers generally exhibit relatively poorer transverse properties, most likely due to insufficient interfacial links between the surrounding polymerized aery late matrix and the reinforcing fibers. Improving fiber-matrix adhesion [1] and upgrading polymer network toughness [2,3] are currently the two major challenges in this area.
