According to the transformation matrix theory of computer graphics, the method of generating engineering drawings is studied by applying SolidWorks API, which is based on the relationship between 3D model and the engineering drawings. The engineering drawings of 2D can be generated automatically from 3D model with this method. As a result, the workload of the designer and the cost of design will be reduced effectively and the time of design product will be shortened. Furthermore, it will also reduce human error to make sure the quality of product.
