摘要

Safety, Reliability, and Maintainability have become major factors to be considered for future aircraft development. The utilisation of feedback information from in-service aircraft has increased significantly in order to improve safety, reliability, and reduce maintenance costs. Feedback information could also be utilised by aircraft designers and maintenance personnel for future aircraft design. However, most of the information is distributed over many different publications which make it very difficult for designers to locate the necessary information. The aim to this paper is to investigate the information contained in various existing sources of aircraft in-service feedback information and thus offer better references for future research and implementation. This paper proposes methodology to use of information from the feedback systems for aircraft maintainability. The potential benefits expected from this research are improved Design for Maintainability and Service (DfMS) development and an alternative solution for DfMS prediction.
