摘要

It is shown that the iteration method with variable weights can be an effective method for the location of gross errors in the adjustment. After a general view of seversal available weight functions of the iteration method, a new weight function is developed based on the a posteriori variance estimation of the least squares adjustment. The advantages of the suggested method are justified by a comparative investigation of the different weight functions. The introduction of this weight function into the danish method can also produce a more satisfactory result.
