Japanese Sign Language Proficiency Test and its Electrical Expansion

Sign Language Proficiency Test (SLPT below) is one of the trends in language training. It has no test for listening comprehension, or reading and writing since sign language has no autography. The paper test in SLPT employs a peculiar method in which most of the questions are presented by the video movies. The examinee marks the answer on the mark sheet and it is processed by the computational system. The video tests are limited in facilities, space, location and time. However the recent advanced electrical technology enables the expansion of SLPT. This is the ninth year and some 50 thousand people took it. SLPT classified the vocabulary level and the sentence level to evaluate achievement of syntax into 6 classes. There is an interview test as well as the paper tests in the 2nd and the 1st Grade.
