Technology for elderly

The Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs has commissioned the Swedish Institute of Assistive Technology (SIAT) to manage a development program "Technology for Elderly" during 2007-2009 with the following special areas of focus; housing, information about good assistive devices and accessibility to products and technique for elderly and their relatives. The program will from the needs of the elderly, support development and increase accessibility to technology. SIAT has got USD 3 million/year for development of products and services, pilot studies and information activities.
