A new Scaling Method for SDTV Video Signal Conversion at HDTV Resolution

摘要

In this paper, a new scaling method from SDTV to HDTV is proposed. The scaled dependent content method (SDC) is compared with bilinear and bicubic interpolating methods for scaling the SDTV signal video to a HDTV resolution. To assess the video quality, the following metrics were used: MSE, MSAD and PSNR. The obtained results using the method are better than using the bicubic and bilinear interpolating methods.
