摘要

Energetic ionic liquids are proposed as green substitutes to toxic hydrazine monopropellant. They are mixtures of ionic oxidizers, ionic or molecular fuels and water (as solvent); the objectives are to reduce the environmental concerns and the associated costs, and to increase the performance [1,2]. The possible oxidizers are: - Hydroxylammonium nitrate (HAN), [NH3OH]~+[NO3]~- - Ammonium dinitramide (ADN), [NH4]~+[N(NO2)2]~- - Ammonium nitrate (AN), [NH4]~+[NO3]~- The thermal and catalytic decomposition of different binary (one oxidizer) and ternary mixtures (two oxidizers) have been followed at the lab scale using different tools: thermal analysis apparatus (TGA, DTA), dedicated constant volume reactor (pressure and temperature profiles) and dynamic flow reactor with online mass spectrometer (MS) analysis of the gaseous products associated with Raman spectroscopy and acid base titration for the trapped products. The objective was to define the conditions allowing the formation of oxygen as a major product.
