Seafloor cabled observation network is becoming the hotspot in ocean science and engineering in recent years due to its remarkable advantages. Zhejiang University has developed Zhejiang University Experimental and Research Objective (ZERO) system, which is a small and experimental seafloor cabled observation network and key technologies of data communication axe discussed in the study, including topology structure of network, information transmission technology, controlling and protocol, signals of sensors and so on.
